Synthesis of sodium silicate crystals from rice husk ash

چکیده

The rich husk is an agricultural waste of rice cultivation worldwide, which highly in amorphous silica. Rice obtained from Dagiri was pyrolysed at 750 ? to give white ash (RHA) further treated with acid (ARHA). reacted sodium hydroxide 90 for 2 hours 30 min produce Sodium silicate crystals. silicates synthesized the study were characterized some physicochemical parameters. Their structural and morphological properties assessed using a Fourier Transform Infra-red spectrophotometer (FTIR), X-ray Diffractometer (XRD) Scanning Electrode Microscope (SEM). mineralogical composition investigated Energy-dispersive fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer. produced has melting point 61 ?, pH 12.03 appeared as brownish-white clear-white colour. RHA ARHA XRD investigation showed patterns match mineral phase cristobalite, while that heptahydrate disodiumtrioxosilicate most dominant phase. Rietveld refinement pattern gave Rwp = 12.81, Rexp 5.55, ?2 5.3274 GoF 2.3081 against dual analysis. crystal-synthesized suitable use cosmetic formulations.

Rice Husk Ash-Derived Silica Nanofluids: Synthesis and Stability Study

Nanofluids, colloidal suspensions consisting of base fluids and nanoparticles, are a new generation of engineering working fluids. Nanofluids have shown great potential in heat/mass transfer applications. However, their practical applications are limited by the high production cost and low stability. In this study, a low-cost agricultural waste, rice husk ash (RHA), was used as a silicon source...
